On Getting Back into the Water . . .

I think I’m going to get back into the water. About a year ago, I started writing on line and learning how to use social media to communicate with other people.

In one of my early posts, “So How’s the Water?”, I reflected on what it felt like to put metaphorical little floaty things on my arms and jump into the deep end of the social media pool. I wrote regularly for about eleven months. Then I got a little burned out.

I got out of the water and decided to lay by the pool for a while.

I am ready to jump back in the water now.

Here we go.

This is How the Year Ends, What’s Next?

Back in the last days of August, I wrote five or six blog posts to populate this little corner of the internet and quietly posted them online. Then on September 5, I turned the light on and invited anyone interested to stop in for a visit.

Initially, I had a crowd of people stop in to see what all the fuss was about and since then there have been regular visitors and even new friends stop by to read what I have to say.

Thank you all very much for your interest!

So How’s the Water?

I jumped into the deep end of the social media pool about a month ago. I put little floaty thingies on my arm, took a deep breath, and plunged into the water. At first, I kept close to the edge of the pool making certain I was always within arm’s length of my mentors.

Gradually, I moved away from the edge and practiced my social media dog paddling. I’m just keeping my nose above water but I’m having a lot of fun.

I am learning new things about myself and the world.

I want to challenge you to learn with me. Since it is social media, I need you to help make it social! Read on, this is more than just a commercial.
